   Welcome to OSSP, the world of Unix Software Technologies!

   OSSP is a fully non-profit [14]Open Source Software project, founded by [15]Ralf
   S. Engelschall in 1998. [16]Thomas Lotterer joined in 2001. The goal is the
   implementation of high-quality Unix software components, ranging from
   [17]networking, [18]multi-threading and [19]algorithmic libraries to
   [20]networking servers and [21]development tools.

   OSSP itself actually can be considered a meta-project, consisting of numerous
   [22]projects. Each project is a solution to a particular problem and usually
   released separately. At a later stage, all sub-projects together could form
   something like a Next Generation Internet Server Platform.

   To implement such a lot of high-quality Unix software components requires a great
   amount of time and man-power. So OSSP puts really a lot of private work on its
   idealistic developers, but nevertheless makes all of its results freely available
   to the interested public. Without [23]sponsoring through [24]donations from many
   individuals and companies all this would be not possible, of course.
