ELinks 0.12pre1
kon@iki.fi
http://linuxfromscratch.org/pipermail/elinks-users/2008-July/001685.html
2008-07-01
This is the first prerelease for ELinks 0.12. UTF-8 support is
greatly improved from 0.11.4, and the SMB protocol module has been
rewritten after the CVE-2006-5925 incident. There are many other bug
fixes and enhancements too; please see the announcement or the NEWS
file for the complete list. Although ELinks 0.12pre1 generally works
better than 0.11.4, it also has a few new bugs that should be fixed
before the final 0.12.0 release.

ELinks 0.11.4 has been released!
fonseca@diku.dk
http://linuxfromscratch.org/pipermail/elinks-users/2008-June/001684.html
2008-06-20
The final 0.11.4 release is available. It contains mostly bug fixes and
translation updates. Hopefully this will be one of the last releases of the
long lived 0.11 branch that came to life back in 2006-01-01, since all the
goodies in the 0.12 branch bring considerable improvements in terms of UTF-8
support etc.

The release of 0.11.4rc1
fonseca@diku.dk
http://linuxfromscratch.org/pipermail/elinks-users/2008-March/001615.html
2008-03-04
This second release candidate mostly brings minor fixes, documentation
improvements, and translation updates. A special thanks goes out to the
new debian package maintainers: Y Giridhar Appaji Nag and Moritz
Muehlenhoff who have given the elinks package a much needed update and,
with the help of Kalle, have gone through the bug reports and identified
fixed issues.
This will probably be the last release candidate before 0.11.4, so
translators are encouraged to make updates! The only missing item on my
TODO list is to synchronize changes in the doc/ directory with changes
from the unstable branch(es).

ELinks 0.11.4rc0

http://linuxfromscratch.org/pipermail/elinks-users/2008-February/001604.html
http://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2007-2027
2008-02-05
Time is nearing another stable release, however, before hitting 0.11.4 a
few release candidates seems to be in order to let any last pending
changes migrate from the development branches. This release fixes a
handful of critical bugs and security issues, including CVE-2007-2027,
as well as some minor problems. You are adviced to upgrade!

ELinks 0.11.3
fonseca@diku.dk
http://linuxfromscratch.org/pipermail/elinks-users/2007-April/001405.html
2007-04-15
This release merges a lot of changes from the unstable branch. It
mainly focuses on bug fixes, while it also adds a few enhancements.
Among the updates are various security related fixes, so people
following the stable branch are advised to update.

ELinks 0.10 branch is no longer maintained
kon@iki.fi
2007-03-17
The "older stable" ELinks 0.10 branch is no longer maintained.
ELinks 0.10.6 was the last release from this branch. If you are
using it, please upgrade to ELinks 0.11.2, which contains many
bug fixes. Some of these fixes have also been backported to the
REL_0_10 branch in the ELinks Git repository, but not all.
ELinks 0.11.0 was released on 2006-01-01, a year ago. It seems
unlikely that users who have not already upgraded to the 0.11
branch would be willing to upgrade to 0.10.7 either. Also,
keeping track of backports to 0.10 was consuming time that could
be better spent on working towards the 0.12.0 release.

ELinks 0.11.2
fonseca@diku.dk
http://linuxfromscratch.org/pipermail/elinks-users/2006-November/001353.html
2006-11-19
A small update to the stable branch as a reaction to the recently
discovered vulnerability in the SMB protocol module. Additionally, the
release also contains some minor fixes.

CVE-2006-5925: smbclient command injection via smb URL metacharacters
fonseca@diku.dk
http://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2006-5925
2006-11-19
Links web browser 1.00pre12 and Elinks 0.9.2 with smbclient installed allows
remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via shell metacharacters in an
smb:// URI, as demonstrated by using PUT and GET statements.
More information about the vulnerability and fixes are available in bugzilla
as bug 841.

ELinks 0.11.1
fonseca@diku.dk
http://linuxfromscratch.org/pipermail/elinks-users/2006-January/001068.html
2006-01-29
Almost a month has passed since 0.11.0 saw the light of day so it's time to
update to 0.11.1. A lot of fixes have entered, most important one to fix the
problems with installing when national language support was enabled. This
release also have a few new features such as native support for the FSP
protocol.
